Welcome to the Roots of Ledaership! We’re excited to have you join a community of young leaders committed to developing skills, making an impact, and inspiring others. To ensure a smooth experience and successful participation, please read and adhere to the following program guidelines.


Program Overview

The Roots of Leadership Program is designed for homeschool students aged 12-20 who are still enrolled in school. The program focuses on developing leadership skills, fostering personal growth, and creating opportunities to serve the community. Members will participate in activities such as event planning, community service, public speaking, and collaborative projects.

Roots of Leadership Program Guidelines

Program Requirements

  • Eligibility: The program is open to students ages 12-20 as long as they are still in school.

  • Membership Fee: $25 per month.

    • The fee covers program activities, materials, and the benefits listed below.

    • Payments are due on the 1st of each month and can be made via invoice.

Program Benefits

  • Exclusive T-shirt: Each member will receive a program T-shirt to proudly show their participation.

  • Family Event Access: Immediate family members will receive free access to program events, including leadership workshops, community service days, and social activities.

  • Leadership Development: Opportunities to develop key leadership skills such as public speaking, team-building, event management, and decision-making.

  • Networking Opportunities: Connect with like-minded peers and mentors, and build lasting relationships.

  • Real-World Experience: Gain hands-on experience through leadership roles in events, projects, and community service activities.

Program Expectations

As a member of the Roots of Leadership Program all students are expected to:

1. Active Participation

  • Attend Meetings: Students are expected to attend regular meetings (either in-person or virtual) to stay engaged with the program and contribute ideas.

  • Engage in Activities: Actively participate in leadership roles for events, projects, or committees.

  • Respect Commitments: Honor any deadlines or responsibilities assigned during program activities.

2. Leadership & Collaboration

  • Take Initiative: Show initiative by volunteering for tasks, organizing activities, or leading projects.

  • Work Collaboratively: Be respectful and work effectively with peers and program leaders to achieve common goals.

  • Practice Leadership Skills: Use opportunities to practice public speaking, team management, and problem-solving in real-world situations.

3. Respectful Behavior

  • Respect Others: Treat all members, mentors, and program leaders with kindness and respect.

  • Positive Attitude: Maintain a positive attitude during meetings and activities, even when facing challenges.

  • Adhere to Program Guidelines: Follow all rules and policies as outlined in these guidelines, and adhere to the program’s mission.

4. Communication

  • Stay Informed: Check email, social media groups, or the program website regularly for updates about events, meetings, and activities.

  • Prompt Responses: Respond to communications (emails, texts, etc.) from program leaders in a timely manner.

Attendance Policy

  • Commitment: We expect each member to be fully committed to the program, including attending meetings and participating in events. Missing more than 3 meetings in a semester without prior notice may result in a review of membership.

  • Absences: If you need to miss a meeting or event, please notify the program coordinator in advance.

Health & Safety

  • Emergency Contact Information: Please ensure that the program coordinator has your current emergency contact details.

  • Medical Considerations: Inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, or special needs we should be aware of during meetings or events.

  • Health and Safety at Events: Participants are expected to follow all safety protocols during in-person activities, including any local or event-specific health guidelines.

Social Media & Marketing Consent

  • Photo and Video Consent: As part of the program, photos and videos may be taken during events or meetings for promotional purposes (social media, newsletters, website, etc.). By joining the program, students and parents consent to these images being used for program-related purposes unless otherwise specified.

  • Social Media Guidelines: Participants are encouraged to use the program’s official hashtags (#RootsofLeadership #ProlificCreationStudios), but must maintain respect and positive representation of the program online.

Program Termination

  • Voluntary Withdrawal: If you wish to discontinue your membership, please notify the program coordinator at least one month in advance.

  • Failure to Meet Expectations: Continued failure to meet program expectations (e.g., consistent non-participation, inappropriate behavior) may result in removal from the program, after a review by program leaders.

Parent Involvement

While this program is focused on student leadership, we encourage parents to be involved by:

  • Volunteering: Parents may be invited to assist with events, chaperone field trips, or provide guidance.

  • Supporting Leadership Development: Encouraging their child’s leadership growth outside of the program.

Program Agreement

By signing up for the Roots of Leadership Program, both students and parents agree to abide by these guidelines and actively contribute to the growth and success of the program.
